I dedicate this post to my CSR Director Julie Paumerie ♻️⚖️ and her teams.
The EcoVadis case: digital platforms for assessing CSR performance, a major step forward for ESG and social responsibility?
As French Tech continues to record major M&A deals, EcoVadis, a key player in greentech, is striking hard by acquiring Ulula, a Canadian start-up specialising in human rights data collection within supply chains 📊.
This deal is in line with their sustainable growth strategy, targeting key technology bricks, rather than customer portfolios.
💡 Why is this important?
EcoVadis, the French ESG assessment unicorn, continues to grow in scale and is set to reach recurring sales of €200 million in 2024 📈. This acquisition is a direct response to the growing needs of companies in terms of duty of care and regulatory compliance, particularly with the arrival of the European CS3D directive 🏛️. This growing need for transparency and accountability is shared by many companies in the consultancy sector.
It’s worth noting that we have been consecutively awarded the Platinum medal for our CSR commitment 😀
With the integration of Ulula, which enables feedback of information from the field through channels such as WhatsApp or voicemail, EcoVadis is positioning itself even more strongly on the management of human rights in supply chains. Valuable technology for industries such as textiles, agri-food or mining, where social risks are major.
🔗 A global impact thanks to this acquisition.
Ulula will now be able to draw on the strike force of EcoVadis, which has over 110,000 customers in 180 countries 🌐. This is another step towards more ethical and transparent management of production chains on a global scale.
EcoVadis once again demonstrates its leadership in this field.
Another fine gold medal for CSR, but above all for Ecovadis 😀!
